Work and Conferencing, elevated
Designed by Fig 40
(APRIL 2017 — Delanco, NJ) — After four years of development, Stylex is pleased to debut F4, a new line of conference and touchdown task seating that is remarkable for its light, graceful presence, its simple user interface, and its outstanding comfort. At the same time, F4 has been carefully engineered to greatly reduce its raw material footprint.
F4 represents an evolution in user-responsive seating. Through thoughtful material selection and component design, F4 was created to comfortably and effortlessly move with its user and support a broad range of seated gestures without the need to make excessive manual adjustments. F4 sports a reactive seat support system that both enhances comfort and reduces user fatigue as well as an integrated tilt mechanism that moves in harmony with the body’s natural axis of hip rotation. These features, combined with its many other functional attributes, result in outstandingly comfortable movement and superb gestural support.
F4 can be specified in a variety of finish combinations, offering a unique level of customization. Highlights include Stylex’s 20 powder coat paints, polished aluminum, monochromatic colorways, and optional solid oak or walnut arm caps.
Mesh Backs & Knit Seats:
F4 backs are available in 16 mesh colors. Backs can be paired with matching knit seats, or any textile of choice. Knit seats can be paired with any textile on the backs. Mesh backs are made from an interlocking pattern of nylon monofilament and soft durable polyamide yarn. Knit seats are 100% polyamide yarn.
Textiles and Leathers:
F4 backs and seats can be upholstered in both in-graded and customer’s own fabrics and leathers. Two pattern options will be offered highlighting Stylex’s artisan sewing capabilities. Upholstered backs or seats can be combined with mesh backs or knit seats.
Designed with sensitivity to its environmental impact, an underlying goal when developing F4 was to be minimal and selective in its use of materials. The aluminum structural components of the chair are largely composed of recycled material and offer the opportunity to be recycled at the conclusion of the product’s life cycle. Through ease of disassembly, components such as the Nylon back frame and polypropylene seat pan can be isolated and recycled. Greenguard Gold and Level® 1 certification are anticipated before the end of 2017. All glues used are water-base and VOC free.
F4 has been engineered to pass the X5.1-2017 BIFMA standard.
