Stylex teamed with designer Brad Ascalon for one of its latest seating releases at NeoCon 2014: Nestle. The timeless bucket seat comes with a broad range of base options to accompany its universally appealing, upholstered form. Nestle is an adaptable design that works well for informal dining, formal executive offices, or a variety of other spaces.
“Products that have typically been labeled as ‘guest chairs’ are now used in casual conference settings — canteen, areas, private offices, and collaborative work areas,” explained Stylex President John Golden. “This places new demands on form and function, and Nestle ably meets these requirements with its harmonious presence.”
Designer Brad Ascalon continued, “Design is all about problem solving, and that’s how we approached Nestle. How could we create a chair so versatile that it can be specified everywhere in an office for a uniform look? With Nestle, we developed a subtle dialogue between hard and soft, fusing mid-century, modern, and traditional elements. It is this blend of influences, combined with the wide range of bases, that successfully maximizes the line’s flexibility.”
Nestle’s form is both inspiring and highly adaptive, and its engineering is equally impressive. Stylex’s expertise in ergonomic seating shines through in the design details, and the line achieves excellent comfort without disrupting the chair’s streamlined look. The Nestle shell is constructed from a combination of rigid urethane over-molded with HR foam to impart a cozy sit and exceptional durability
As with all Stylex products, Nestle is GREENGUARD certified. It incorporates bio foam, and the shell is designed to limit rework and scrap during the manufacturing process, thus reducing waste.
