Tod Babick

Tod Babick earned his BA in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design and has worked as a design director, strategy director, and staff designer for studios in Michigan and Rhode Island. He began working independently in 1998, and is now the principal of Plow, a product and brand development company with extensive experience in furniture and sustainable design. In addition to seating, Babick has designed the Clara casegoods and Content sustainable furniture lines, numerous home design and décor products, and pioneered Kohler’s “Smart Divide” product concept. He is named on several U.S. and international patents, and has received recognition from ID Magazine, Best of NeoCon Awards, Nightingale Awards, Time Magazine Ten Best Products of the Year, and International Design Resource Awards Competition; his work is included in the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
