Morris and Seymour Golden, a father and son team, launched Stylex in 1956 to address opportunities they saw for more refined seating. They envisioned a company that wasn’t simply better at manufacturing seating, but also better at understanding seating. Seymour’s brother, Leslie, subsequently joined the company, and eventually the brother’s sons, John and Bruce, acquired the business. While much has changed over 50 years, the foundation and vision on which the company was built remains. We employ that understanding, and an enterprising spirit, to continually refine our products, business, and relationships. There’s no ‘second string’ at Stylex, and everyone from our CEO to our receptionist works with customers, specifiers, and designers every day. That, in turn, lets us better understand and more rapidly refine the aesthetics, performance, value, and service that create more engaging products. |
